Moffitt Commitment
Moffitt Cancer Center began construction on an outpatient ambulatory center and a state-of-the-art Proton Therapy Center in early 2023. Both facilities are scheduled for completion in 2026.
Meet the Board of Directors
Marty Lanahan
Chair
Executive Vice President at First Horizon Bank that’s held executive leadership roles and served in numerous board-level leadership roles. As an active civic leader, she has experience with policy, governance, the arts and culture, underserved communities, and healthcare.
Mark Metheny
Vice Chair
An owner/operator of Homes by WestBay & Casa Fresca Homes, Tampa Bay’s largest privately held homebuilder. He previously served in senior leadership positions with a large publicly traded homebuilder.
Ted Couch
Secretary Treasurer
Longtime Moffitt supporter that has led several health care, financial services and real estate boards. He was instrumental in the development of the cancer center, chairing Moffitt’s Institute Board of Directors for seven years, and currently serves on the center’s national Board of Advisors.
Edison Liu
Managing Director
Serves on Moffitt’s Institute Board of Directors, is president emeritus and an honorary fellow of the Jackson Laboratory, an independent, nonprofit research organization. Previously he was the scientific director of the National Cancer Institute’s Division of Clinical Sciences.
